The agreement comes after the company has been forced to cancel some shipments to Chinese foundries.

Codelco plans to mix copper concentrate of high arsenic content of its Ministro Hales mine from third party materials for sale in China, said sources from Reuters, in an effort by the world’s largest producer of the mineral to solve problems in your its new site.

In an agreement with concentrate British operator Ocean Partners, Codelco will buy standard concentrated and combined it in facilities of the British company in Taiwan, explained sources familiar with the transaction. They added that the first shipment of mixture would arrive to China later this month.

The State mining company would use the facilities at least for the next two or three years, but could be extended, said one of the respondents.

The agreement comes after the company has been forced to cancel some shipments to Chinese foundries after problems in the Ministro Hales Roasting Complex.
