On Friday, the Department of Environmental Assessment (SEA) published on the file the committee’s resolutions, which hosted the claims by opponents of the project.

Only after receiving the official notification what will probably happen tomorrow, Tuesday, the legal teams of partners of the HidroAysén project (Endesa with 51% and Colbún 49%), and the same company, will begin the analysis of the arguments made by the Committee of Ministers which revoked the Environmental Qualification Resolution (RCA) of the initiative last June and then declined.

Sources close to one of the shareholders said the most likely path is that the Environmental Court of Valdivia are used, for which the company has 30 days, so the appeal would be submitted to the second half of August. However, for this to happen Endesa and Colbún must be in full agreement.

Sources indicate that withdraw from legal road-one of the alternatives that has been studied-could complicate the Directors of the Companies, since they would be exposed to possible legal action by minority shareholders, unhappy with the negative economic impact it would have for companies to write off the U.S. $ 320 million so far been spent on environmental studies for the project.
